What types of designs would you like to see more often? More game boards? More fiber studies? More useful items for the home? More samplers? A teaching piece? Feedback from stitchers helps me prioritize my design time. Please let me know! If you have questions or suggestions for designs you'd like to see, feel free to send email. Thanks to those of you who have already emailed me with your ideas!
Surprise! The website has a new look...finally!
You may have been wondering (or not) about the lack of new designs and updates to the website. Now I'm back, and you'll be seeing some of my new designs in the coming months.
As with any type of programming there are probably still a few bugs to be worked on on the site. If you encounter any, please email me with a description of the problem and the browser you're using. Any suggestions for improvements to the site will be welcome too!
Meanwhile, there's been an addition to the company! Her name is Squirt, she's 17 years old, and comes from a stitching background. No, she doesn't stitch, but her former home was with my friend, Catherine, who is also known to many of you as Indigo Rose. Squirt's a sweet kitty and very loving. Her only failing is cutting into my stitching time by insisting on curling up in my lap to snooze!
I've been coming up with lots of small, usable designs such as the bookmarks I've added with this website update, plus coasters, containers, and all sorts of doodads. I'm a great one for re-purposing items, and I've had a lot of fun making something out of things we usually just toss in the trash and adding stitching to make them both attractive and useful. You'll be seeing a few of these pop up on this site over the coming months.
For those of you who missed earlier freebies, many are still available through shops that carry At River's End designs. Needlework guilds and shops often reprint my freebies in their newsletters too, so try lobbying to get the older ones reprinted in your local newsletters.
I'm also planning on offering some of these older freebies occasionally on this site as well as posting some of my new small designs and a few recycled ones that have appeared in magazines. Check back often since you never know when one of this Golden Oldies will appear in case you missed them the first time.
